Pourquoi Jésus m'a-t-il choisi? Pourquoi m'a-t-il fait le cadeau de cette renaissance, à moi qui suis déjà si chanceux? Je vois partout des gens malheureux, des proches qui souffrent ouvertement, perdent espoir, endurent un deuil injuste, une maladie sournoise, de cruels revers de fortune. Je les observe, impuissant, se contorsionner dans leur tristesse, comme des scarabées retournés, en me demandant pourquoi ma traversée à moi est tellement plus paisible. Et c'est à cet homme sans histoire que je suis que Jésus a souhaité donner cette réserve inexplicable d'amour.
Qu'attend-il de moi ? Que puis-je faire en retour ?
_ En me réveillant le matin de bonne heure, parfois fatigué, ou même préoccupé par mes soucis quotidiens, je suis bien forcé de constater que le printemps qui s'est installé dans mon cœur est toujours là, un mois d'avril perpétuel et intime. Je suis comme une fleur qui se serait ouverte, après de longues années de maturation, pour profiter des rayons savoureux du soleil. Mes sens se désengourdissent, s'étirent en moi en grimaçant de plaisir et de douleur.
